Sachem Successes: Congratulations to Nate Burns and Robert “Tommy” Bellaire on being named National Merit Scholarship WINNERS! This is a big deal and a quite a recognition. Only about 12,000 high school students nationwide are actually named NMS winners, so a hearty congratulations to Tommy and Nate!
Also, Technovation Sophomore Team Altera (Boyang Wang, Dhwani Sreenivas, Margaret Jones, and Elysia Yuan) came in 1st Place last week with their app, TMRPTR. This app is a temperature app that parents of small children would use in their cars to help prevent parents from accidentally leaving their children in a car – especially in the summer. The girls will be competing in Nationals this summer! Congratulations to Team Altera and Mrs. Kathy Grace!
Swiger Award Winner! A huge congratulations to Mrs. Jamie Roberts for being the recipient of this year’s prestigious Sarah Swiger Award. Each year, only one faculty member in the entire district receives this honor from WFEE, and we are proud to call Jamie our second (after John Fleming) winner from WHS! Congrats, Jamie! We are so proud! For more information on the award, please see https://www.wfee.org/swiger-award
