Hello WHS,On Sunday, I grieved along with our nation as we watched another senseless act of violence occur in Orlando.  I am horrified when these acts take place.  I recently read Maya Angelou quote on-line  that seemed to fit our communal angst when something like this happens:  “Hate, it has caused a lot of problems in the world, but has not solved one yet.”

Congratulations to our Class of 2016.  Last Monday night was a wonderful celebration of a super group.  I wish the members of the class all the best.  Thank you to our wonderful staff who attended the graduation and so many senior week activities.

I heard that our Future Freshmen night had a great turnout last week with many new Sachems in attendance with their families.  Thank you to members of PALs and Connect and Commit who led tours and made our new freshmen feel welcomed.

Class of 2016 females who would like to attend RAD (Rape  Aggression Defense) classes, now is your chance.  The classes will be held onMonday through Wednesday June 20-22 from 1-4 pm.  Dynamic Simulation on Thursday June 23rd from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. to register.  (As an FYI-our staff has been trained and will be offering RAD classes for females and males next year as part of our PE classes.)

Monday Shout Out:

As mentioned last week,  Hannah McCurry, a member of our class of 2016 was featured on Channel 7’s Class Act.  If you missed it, check out:
