Hello WHS,

As I wrote in last week’s June PFA newsletter:

It is hard to believe that June is here.  Our Senior class will be moving on and it has been a great year of getting to know our amazing students.  As they move on to the next chapter in their lives, I hope that the lessons our Sachems have learned within these halls will serve them well.

Since yesterday’s planned graduation was rained out, we are planning on a great graduation tonight at 6:00 pm at Manchester Field.  Thank you to Assistant Principal Mr. Jerry Chapman, 2016 class advisors Betsy Kean and Jamie Roberts for all of their hard work this week.  Thank you to all staff who came out to receive some of our graduates who had out of town family.  It was great to meet some who traveled from so very far away.  In addition, thank you everyone who took part of planning the activities all week including last night’s All Night Graduation Party.  It was a great week to be a Sachem.  Congratulations to all of our graduates!

Monday Shout Out:

On Friday, June 10th, Hannah McCurry, a member of our class of 2016 will be featured on Channel 7’s Class Act segment to showcase her work of crocheting hats for cancer victims.  The segments will air online and on-air starting at 6 am.  They filmed the segment at WHS last month.  Be sure to check it out and congratulations to Hannah for her impressive work.
