Hello WHS,

Today starts Teacher Appreciation Week.  Our staff was treated to lovely luncheon in our honor and we appreciate the celebration and we thank all of you who contribute to our Parent Faculty for the lovely meal.  I also wish to thank the parent team who planned the event.

National Teacher Appreciation Week is time to take out of your busy schedules and thank a teacher.  I would love to see our students and families Instagram, tweet, or email a thank you message to a teacher or teachers that have meant so much to them.  They should include the hashtag- #ThankaTeacher.

My #ThankaTeacher shout out goes to my favorite teacher-Mr. Downes.  Mr. Downes was a wonderful fourth grade teacher.  He was the teacher that inspired me to be a teacher.  He made learning so fun and truly made all students feel special.  I know he is still making students feel special day in and day out in my hometown.  I thank him for making a difference for all who were blessed to learn from him.  Please check out my tweet:
